Production Approval for Custom Package created with the Package Manager in self service
- Vector tries to approve and deliver the same software that has been provided by customer.
- If SW is complete and consistent and fulfills OEM requirements.
- If there are no critical issues which must be fixed.
- If ASIL qualification is given for all safety components.
- With the approval the Custom Package created in self service will be replaced by the production approval delivery from Vector.
- You have to integrate this production approval delivery because it is the basis for safety case, issue reporting and warranty.
CSP/RIS (former SIP) from Vector integration team
- Vector delivery contains latest software release which is needed in order to fulfill the OEM requirements.
- Via maintenance you have one free update per year in order to follow OEM requirements.
In future Vector will maintain both delivery strategies because of different customer expertise,
- but it is not possible to order a CSP/RIS later after the project has already been started with Package-based Delivery.
- if Package-based Delivery is used for development of a generic platform, each operational project derived from this platform must be decided on nomination, which delivery strategy shall be used for the operational project:
- Go on with Package-based Delivery, buy an OEM package and later do a production approval.
- Directly change to standard CSP/RIS delivery.
