MEX provides an easy way to configure certain predefined elements and attributes defined by MICROSAR Adaptive. The definitions are stored and loaded from your selected MICROSAR Adaptive BSW Package.
In general, there is a definition (SdgDef) and an instance (AdminData) side, as described in the previous chapters. The tool recognizes MEX via predefined GIDs
in the Sdg
elements and is able to display and edit them comfortably by abstracting away the AdminData structure behind. This means that compatible Sdg
elements are displayed just like regular elements, Sd elements are displayed as regular attributes and SdxARRef
elements are displayed as regular references. A helpful example on how the mapping is done can be seen in the MEX chapter of the DaVinci Modeling Language Reference (see below).
Create / Configure MEX Parameters
If MEX data can be configured, it is shown in the MICROSAR Adaptive Parameters section of an editor.
DML
The DML can display MEX just like regular elements and attributes.

Please refer to the MEX chapter in the DaVinci Modeling Language Reference for more information.
Create MEX Parameter
In the Editor under MICROSAR Adaptive Parameters you can see all available MEX Parameters for the selected item. Empty lists and not yet created MEX Parameters are shown in gray.
- You can create MEX Parameters by right-clicking on a grayed-out Parameter and select
create <MEX Parameter Name>.
