IPC stands for Inter Process Communication and is the default deployment setting for MICROSAR QuickCom. It is used for local communication between applications.
IPC Binding
All MICROSAR QuickCom applications utilizing the IPC binding listen for and transmit messages on an IPv6 node-local multicast communication channel.
IPC Service Discovery Daemon
The IPC service discovery daemon manages “offers” and “find requests” for service instances.
When a client requests a service instance, a dedicated connection between the provider and consumer is established using the address information from the offer message.
The service discovery daemon can also restore lost connections between proxies and skeletons.
