The Adjust Instance Reference dialog supports you in adjusting a broken path of an Instance Reference.
Open Dialog
To open the Adjust Instance Reference dialog, select an unresolved reference which is part of an Instance Reference in the Unresolved References View and click the context menu command Adjust Instance Reference.
The Adjust Instance Reference dialog opens.
Step-by-Step Procedure
Open the Adjust Instance Reference dialog and specify as follows:
- Target
- The Target drop-down list shows all available targets for the Instance Reference type.
- Click the arrow to open the list and select the target of the Instance Reference type.
- Root
- The Root drop-down list shows all available roots matching the selected target.
If no target is selected, all possible roots for this Instance Reference type are displayed. - Click the arrow to open the list and select the root.
- [Go to Referrer]
- Click this button to open the corresponding object in the AUTOSAR Model Explorer.
- Before
- Shows the short form of the Instance Reference before it was edited. Parts of the path are highlighted as follows:
- Red:
The red part of the path shows which part of the Instance Reference is broken. - Yellow:
The yellow part of the path indicates the part of the Instance Reference that is no longer accessible due to the broken reference. - After
- The After drop-down list shows all valid Instance References in their short form. The drop-down list is filtered according to the selections of the upper drop-down lists.
- Click the arrow to open the list and select the entry with which the Instance Reference should be overwritten.
Click [Adjust] to apply your settings.
