Installing via Chocolatey Package (Windows)

This section guides you through installing DaVinci-AUTOSAR-JSON on Windows using the Chocolatey Package Manager.

By default, the latest available version of the tool will be installed, ensuring you benefit from the newest features, improvements, and security updates.

Prerequisites

  • The Chocolatey Package Manager must be installed on your system (v2 or higher). Installation instructions are available at Chocolatey Installation Guide.

  • Installing via the Chocolatey Package Manager requires elevated permissions.

Installing DaVinci-AUTOSAR-JSON

Chocolatey packages for DaVinci-AUTOSAR-JSON are available at Vector’s External Repository.

  1. Add the Vector’s external repository source to get access to our packages:

    $ choco source add --name="vector" --source="https://packages.vehub.vector.com/nuget/index.json"
  2. Install DaVinci-AUTOSAR-JSON:

    $ choco install vector-dvarjson -y

Check if the Installation Was Successful

To verify that the installation was successful, navigate to the installation directory of DaVinci-AUTOSAR-JSON.

In this location, you will find various folders, files, and executable components that are part of the installation. Refer to the following table for an overview of the installed items and their purpose:
