notice

When editing a package based on use cases, you have the same options as when creating a new package (see section Create New Package Using the Package Wizard).

Therefore, the following describes the free editing of packages.

  1. Select the package of Custom Packages you want to edit and where you have the license for.
  2. S_Edit_MyFirstCreatedPackage
  3. Click Edit Package (Free module selection) in the context menu or click the icon I_EditPackage in the shortcuts bar. A double-click on the package also works.
  4. The Edit Package window will open.
  5. S_EditPackageWindow
  6. At the top of the window, you get some information about what you can change on this window and about the package you want to change.
  7. Package: Name of the package to be changed
  8. DaVinci Configurator Provider: Select the Package from which you want to use the DaVinci Configurator Classic.
  9. Filters: You can filter for a module or a version, just enter a name in Module Filter text field or a version number in the Version Filter text field.

    Caution

By default DaVinci Package Manager suggests and allows the combination of packages and components that have been tested for interoperability on Vector’s side.

If you deviate from the recommended combinations by individual selecting packages and components a Production Approval may not be granted by Vector. If individual selections are required it is highly recommended to immediately discuss the requirements, roadmap and release strategy with Vector prior to the Production Approval Request.

Please also note all consistency warnings and errors.
