Create Executable

The Create Executable wizard supports you in creating new Executables.

Open Wizard

To open the New Executable wizard, expand your DaVinci Adaptive project in the DaVinci Project Explorer and double click on Open Project Dashboard. The Project Frame opens showing the Project Home. You can then open the New Executable wizard as follows:

• Open the Wizard menu on the top right of the Project Frame and click the Executable Wizard command.
• Alternatively, on the Dashboard page of the Project Home, click the arrow of the Current Focus drop-down list and select Application. In the Executables area, click the [Create] button.
• Alternatively, use the context menu command Create| Create Executable... of an AUTOSAR Package in the AUTOSAR Model Explorer.

The Create Executable wizard opens.

Step-by-Step Procedure

To create a new Executable, open the Create Executable wizard and proceed as follows:

1. Create Executable Page
2. On the Create Executable page, the general settings are defined.
3. Enter the Name, Package, and ARXML File of the Executable to be created.
4. Click [Next >] to confirm your settings.
2. Select an Adaptive Application SW Component Type Page
3. This page displays all Adaptive Application SW Component Types that are present in the project:
• The column Adaptive Application SW Component Type lists existing Adaptive Application SW Component Types.
• The column Usages in Executables shows if the Adaptive Application SW Component Types is used by other Executables.
4. Activate the check box of an existing Adaptive Application SW Component Type to be used as Root SW Component Prototype for the Executable.
   To create a new Adaptive Application SW Component Type, click on the Create Adaptive Application SW Component Type icon.
5. Click [Finish] to close the wizard.

The new Executable has been created.
