Create Process

The Create Process wizard supports you in creating new Processes.

Open Wizard

To open the Create Process wizard, expand your DaVinci Adaptive project in the DaVinci Project Explorer and double click on Open Project Dashboard. The Project Frame opens showing the Project Home. You can then open the Create Process wizard as follows:

• Open the Wizard menu on the top right of the Project Frame and click the Process Wizard command.
• Alternatively, on the Dashboard page of the Project Home, click the arrow of the Current Focus drop-down list and select Machine Integration. In the Processes area, click the [Create] button.
• Alternatively, use the context menu command Create| Create Process... of an AUTOSAR Package in the AUTOSAR Model Explorer.

The Create Process wizard opens.

Step-by-Step Procedure

To create a new Process, open the Create Process wizard and proceed as follows:

1. Create Process Page
2. On the Create Process page, the general settings are defined.
3. Enter the Name, Package, and ARXML File of the Process to be created.
4. Click [Next >] to confirm your settings.
2. Select Process Design Page
3. This step is optional. On this page, an available Process Design can be selected for the new Process.
4. If you want to select a Process Design for the new Process, activate the check box of the Process Design to be used.
   To create a new Process Design, click the Create Process Design icon and specify the general settings in the Create Process Design dialog.
5. Click [Next >] to confirm your settings or to skip this step, respectively.
3. Select Executable Page
4. This page only appears if no Process Design was selected on the previous page, since a Process Design references an Executable.
5. Activate the check box of the Executable to be used for the new Process.
6. Click [Next >] to confirm your settings.
4. Select a Process State Machine Page
5. On this page, a Process State Machine or a default State Machine is selected for the new Process.
6. Activate the check box of the State Machine for the new Process.
   You can also activate the check box Create Default State Machine instead of selecting an existing one.
7. Click [Finish] to close the wizard.

The new Process has been created.
