Create Machine

The Create Machine wizard supports you in creating new Machines.

Open Wizard

To open the Create Machine wizard, expand your DaVinci Adaptive project in the DaVinci Project Explorer and double click on Open Project Dashboard. The Project Frame opens showing the Project Home. You can then open the New Machine wizard as follows:

• Open the Wizard menu on the top right of the Project Frame and click the Machine Wizard command.
• Alternatively, on the Dashboard page of the Project Home, click the arrow of the Current Focus drop-down list and select Machine Integration. In the Machines area, click the [Create] button.
• Alternatively, use the context menu command Create| Create Machine... of an AUTOSAR Package or a Machine Design in the AUTOSAR Model Explorer.

The Create Machine wizard opens.

Step-by-Step Procedure

To create a new Machine, open the Create Machine wizard and proceed as follows:

1. Create Machine Page
2. On the Create Machine page, the general settings are defined.
3. Enter the Name, Package, and ARXML File of the Machine to be created.
4. Click [Next >] to confirm your settings.
2. Machine Design Page
3. On the Machine Design page, a Machine Design is assigned to the Machine. In the table, all information about available Machine Designs is shown:
• The column Machine Designs lists existing Machine Designs.
• The column Projects shows the project in the workspace to which the respective Machine Design belongs.
• The column Used by Machines shows if a Machine Design is already used by another Machine.
4. Activate the check box of the Machine Design to be used for this Machine.
   To create a new Machine Design, click the Create Machine Design icon and follow the Create Machine Design wizard.
5. Click [Finish] to close the wizard.

The new Machine has been created.
