The 
Generator Configuration view displays all configuration options for validation and generation. When running the validation or generation for a specific project, the specified Generator Configuration settings are always considered.
Open Generator Configuration View
To open the Generator Configuration view, expand your DaVinci Adaptive project in the DaVinci Project Explorer and double click on 
Open Project Dashboard. The Project Frame opens showing the Project Home.
You can then open the Generator Configuration view as follows:
- Click the Open Generator Configuration View icon in the Generation and Validation Toolbar.
- Alternatively, open the
Editor menu on the top right of the Project Dashboard and click Generator Configuration View. - Alternatively, go to the DaVinci Project Explorer, right click on Open Project Dashboard and select Open Generator Configuration View.
The Generator Configuration view opens.
Toolbar
The toolbar on the top right of the Generator Configuration view provides the following features:
Show Report
Click this icon to open the Generation Execution Report.
Show Output Folder in System Explorer...
Click this icon to open a system explorer with the output generation folder.
Open Validation Results View
Click this icon to open the Validation Results view.
Open Generation Results View
Click this icon to open the Generation Results view.
Give Feedback to Developers
Click this icon to open a dialog in which you can provide feedback about the Generator Configuration view. Your feedback is sent to our development team directly.
General Options
Beside the Configuration Options for validation and generation, the Generator Configuration view provides general information and options to handle validation and generation:
- Result
This section shows the result state (success, failure) and the timestamp of the last validation/generation execution.
Click this button to start validation with the settings in the Generator Configuration view.
Click this button to start generation with the settings in the Generator Configuration view.
Configuration Options
The Generator Configuration view provides options to configure the validation and generation.
Generation Output Settings
The Generation Output Settings section provides the following configuration options for the generation output:
- Clean generation output folder
Activate if the generation output folder should be emptied before generation.
By default, this option is deactivated. - Output folder
Specify the path to the generation output folder.
By default, the generation output folder path is set to<project path>/src-gen.
Configure Generators
The Configure Generators section provides the following configuration options to define arguments for generators support:
- Universal Generator Arguments
Specify arguments which will be added to the run of every generator. - Generation Steps Grid
- Select Generation Steps/Generators
Select or deselect individual generation steps/generators for validation and generation.
By default, all available generation steps/generators are selected. - Generator Arguments
Specify arguments in the Generator Arguments column for individual generators which will only be added to the run of the individual generators.
Configure Model Scope Sets
The Configure Model Scope Sets section provides the configuration options to declare and activate sets of model scopes.
