Installing via MSI Installer (Windows)

This section guides you through installing DaVinci Configurator Classic Version 6 on Windows using the MSI installer. The MSI package offers a simple and reliable setup process with minimal manual configuration.

During installation, you can choose to install the application either for the current user or for all users on the system, depending on your needs and permissions.

Download DaVinci Configurator Classic Version 6 for Windows from the Vector Download Center.

Prerequisites

To install the application for all users on the system, you must run the installer with elevated permissions.

DaVinci External Components

When installing via MSI on Windows, required dependencies must be installed separately. If you are using variant DaVinci Projects or Legacy Diagnostic Data, we recommend installing DaVinci-AUTOSAR-JSON through the DaVinci External Components package.

Installing DaVinci Configurator Classic Version 6

Launch the DaVinci Configurator Classic Setup and click Next to accept the license agreement.
Choose the installation scope:
- Select Install just for me to install the application only for your user account.
- Select Install for all users to install the application system-wide.
Modify the default installation path if you prefer a custom location.
Click Install to begin the installation process. Once the installation completes successfully, close the setup wizard by clicking Finish.

Check if the Installation Was Successful

To verify that the installation was successful, navigate to the installation directory of DaVinci Configurator Classic Version 6.
