Why Does Vector Collect Data?
Telemetry is used to gather insights into how DaVinci Configurator Classic is used. Vector Informatik GmbH uses this data to enhance the product’s performance, quality, and functionality, benefiting you and other users alike. All collected data is treated with strict confidentiality and is subject to strong access controls.
What Data Does Vector Collect?
Vector Informatik GmbH collects:

Statistical usage data (e.g. performance metrics and feature usage workflows)

Error logs (e.g. stack traces from unhandled runtime errors)
All data is collected anonymously, ensuring that no personal user information or confidential project data is captured. For full transparency, all collected data is stored in your SessionLogs folder, located at:
UserHome\AppData\Roaming\Vector\DaVinciConfiguratorClassic\SessionLogs
How Does Vector Collect The Data?
Data collection is opt-in - You decide whether to enable it. When telemetry is enabled, data is collected locally during tool usage and sent to Vector Informatik GmbH. You can enable or disable this feature via: Help > Usage Statistics

Once enabled, data collection runs automatically in the background and does not impact the performance of DaVinci Configurator Classic.
