Update BSW Package
This section guides you through migrating your newly created DaVinci Configurator Classic Version 6 project (see Update Project Structure) to a later Basic Software (BSW) Package version that is compatible with DaVinci Configurator Classic Version 6.
Why You Should Migrate
DaVinci Configurator Classic Version 6 requires DaVinci Projects to use certain standards for BSW specifications and generators (see Prerequisites for BSW Packages). DaVinci Projects that do not conform to these standards cannot be used properly.
Therefore, we encourage you to migrate your DaVinci Configurator Classic Version 6 project to a compatible BSW Package with the guided instructions in this section.

Steps

Open the graphical user interface of DaVinci Configurator Classic Version 6 (see Launching DaVinci Configurator Classic).

Prepare your inputs in the Get Started view:

In the Project field, select the path to the
.dvjsonProject Master File of your DaVinci Project. -
In the BSW field, select the path to your new BSW Package.

Click Open in the Get Started view.
A BSW Package Mismatch dialog opens, indicating that the BSW Package that you want to migrate your DaVinci Project to is not compatible with the BSW Package that your DaVinci Project was created with. -
In the BSW Package Mismatch dialog, select Migrate the project to this BSW Package and continue.

Click Next.

If necessary, configure New settings for your project (like derivative, compiler, target type).

Click Next.

If necessary, choose if special functionality of supported BSW Use-Cases should be migrated or not:

Select a value in the Value dropdown:

Select Enabled to enable the use case functionality.

Select None to disable the use case functionality.

Click Finish.
The migration of your DaVinci Project with the new BSW Package starts. -
If provided BSW modules miss
.arxmlfiles with BSW Module Definitions (BSWMDs), choose module definitions in the Alternative Module Definition dialog:-
Select a value in the Alternative Module Definition dropdown:

Select Enabled to use the suggested alternative module definition.

Select <Ignore> to ignore the missing module definition and fix upcoming issues later.

Click OK.

If necessary, resolve upcoming project-specific conflicts by following provided error and warning messages.
