Create a Support Request Package

The Support Request Package (SRP) helps Vector support diagnose and resolve issues more efficiently. It captures all relevant project data, allowing our team to reproduce the problem and provide targeted assistance.

What Is a Support Request Package?

A support request package is a collection of data used by Vector support to analyze and understand a certain issue. When creating an SRP the following is collected:

Data Description

Project files

The project dvjson and referenced files.

PC Info

Information about the used hardware (e.g. processor, memory, …).

BSW Info

Information about the used BSW.

Generated Files

The generated file belonging to this ECU project.

Tool Version Info

Version information about the used tools.

ECU Configuration Files

The ECU configuration.

Project Input Files

The corresponding input files for this project (e.g. Extract of a System Description or legacy files (*.dbc, \*.ldf)).

Log Files

The log files of this project.

Create a Support Request Package

By default, the SRP zip is created in an SRP folder at the path of your dvjson.

Using the UI Client

To create an SRP using the UI Client:

  1. Open Help  Create Support Request Package…​.

  2. Optionally, change the output folder path.

  3. Click OK to start the creation.

Using the CLI

You can also create an SRP by using the following command in the CLI:

$ dvcfg-b project create-srp -p /Path/To/DaVinci/Project/project.dvjson -b /Path/To/BSW/Folder
