Create Port Prototype

The Create Port Prototype dialog supports you in creating new Port Prototypes for a SW Component Type. It is possible to create a single Port Prototype or for example, to create matching counterparts for all different ports of a SW Component Type.

Open Dialog

To open the Create Port Prototype dialog, use the context menu command create Create|port-prototype Create Port Prototype…​ of an Adaptive Application SW Component Type in the autosar AUTOSAR Model Explorer.

Step-by-Step Procedure

To create a new Port Prototype, open the Create Port Prototype dialog and proceed as follows:

On the Select Port Interface page that opens, all existing Port Interfaces for which a Port Prototype can be created are listed. In the table, the following information on existing Port Interfaces is shown:

  • In the column Provided and Required, the direction of the Port Prototype to be created can be defined.

  • The column Port Interfaces lists the Port Interfaces.

  • The column Existing Port Prototypes shows whether a Port Prototype has already been created for the respective Port Interface.

  • The column Interface Type shows the interface class of the respective Port Interface.

If required, deactivate the check box Hide Port Interfaces already used to also show Port Interfaces that are already used by the SW Component Type.
Activate the direction check boxes Provided and/or Required of the Port Interfaces to be used.

Click Finish to close the dialog.

Depending on your settings, one or more Port Prototypes have been created.
