Create Service Interface Deployment

The Create Service Interface Deployment wizard supports you in creating Service Interface Deployments for SOME/IP and IPC communication. The Service Interface Deployments are set up matching the events, fields and methods of a Service Interface. It is possible to create a single Service Interface Deployment or for example, to create Service Interface Deployments for all Service Interfaces that are not yet deployed.

Open Wizard

To open the Create Service Interface Deployment wizard, expand your DaVinci Adaptive project in the DaVinci Project Explorer and double click on da-vinci-developer-adaptive Open Project Dashboard. The Project Frame opens showing the Project Home. You can then open the Create Service Interface Deployment wizard as follows:

  • Open the wizard Wizard menu on the top right of the Project Frame and click the service-interface-deployment Service Interface Deployment Wizard command.

  • Alternatively, on the Dashboard page of the Project Home, click the arrow of the Current Focus drop-down list and select Machine Integration. In the Service Interface Deployments area, click the Create button.

  • Alternatively, use the context menu command create Create|service-interface-deployment Create Service Interface Deployment…​ of an AUTOSAR Package or of a Service Interface in the autosar AUTOSAR Model Explorer.

The Create Service Interface Deployment wizard opens.

Step-by-Step Procedure

To create a new Service Interface Deployment, open the Create Service Interface Deployment wizard and proceed as follows:

  1. Select a Service Interface Page

    On the Select a Service Instance page, all available Service Instances are listed.

    To show all existing Service Interfaces, deactivate the check box Hide Service Interfaces with existing Service Interface Deployments.

    Select one or more Service Interfaces to be deployed.

    If more than one of the Service Interfaces are selected, one Service Interface Deployment is created for each Service Interface.

    Click Next > to confirm your selection.

  2. New Service Interface Deployment Page

    On this page, the general settings are defined.

    Enter the Name, Package, and ARXML File of the Service Interface Deployment to be created.

    Click the Type arrow to select the transport layer to be used.

    If the transport layer SOME/IP is used, click the Transport Layer Protocol arrow and select the protocol to be used.

    Click Finish to close the wizard.

One or more Service Interface Deployments have been created.
