Create a DaVinci Project Using vVIRTUALtarget
About vVIRTUALtarget Projects
vVIRTUALtarget (VTT) is the Vector solution for virtualizing individual software components and fully configured ECUs. Instead of starting a DaVinci Project from scratch or from a creation file, you can create it together with a vVIRTUALtarget project to build and run a virtual ECU (vECU) — for example, to test ECU software before hardware is available.
DaVinci Configurator Classic and vVIRTUALtarget work together through a shared System Description: you link your DaVinci Configurator project to a vVIRTUALtarget project by adding the DaVinci Configurator project’s generated .dvjson file within vVIRTUALtarget.
vVIRTUALtarget then derives most of its own module configuration from the corresponding hardware or placeholder modules you configure in DaVinci Configurator Classic, so you only maintain one set of configuration parameters.
For the full architecture and use-case picture, see About vVIRTUALtarget.
