dvcfg-b project validate
Validate the ECU configuration for consistency, completeness, and MICROSAR rule compliance.
| If no --module or --ext-steps option is specified, all available modules and external steps are validated. |
Command
dvcfg-b project validate -p=<file> -b=<folder> [-m=<module>[,<module>...]]... [-x=<module>[,
<module>...]]... [--ext-steps=<step>[,<step>...]]... [-t=<type>] [-a=<module>:<arg>[,
<module>:<arg>...]]... [-r=<folder>] [--keep-temp-files] [--clean-generate] [--no-save]
[--fail-on=<threshold>]
Usage
Validate the ECU configuration for consistency, completeness, and MICROSAR rule compliance.
Usage: dvcfg-b project validate [-h] -p=<file> -b=<folder> [-m=<module>[,<module>...]]... [-x=<module>[,
<module>...]]... [--ext-steps=<step>[,<step>...]]... [-t=<type>] [-a=<module>:<arg>[,
<module>:<arg>...]]... [-r=<folder>] [--keep-temp-files] [--clean-generate] [--no-save]
[--fail-on=<threshold>]
Description:
Validate the ECU configuration for consistency, completeness, and MICROSAR rule compliance.
NOTE: If no --module or --ext-steps option is specified, all available modules and external steps are validated.
Options:
* -p, --project=<file> The .dvjson file of the project.
* -b, --bsw-package=<folder> Directory of the BSW package.
-m, --module=<module>[,<module>...] Specify the modules to validate.
<module> must be either an AUTOSAR Definition (e.g. /MICROSAR/Rte)
or a shortname (e.g. Rte).
If 'from-project' is specified, all modules defined in the project
settings will be validated.
'from-project' can be combined with other entries (e.g. from-project,
Rte).
If an empty string ('') is provided, no modules will be validated.
If not specified, all available modules are validated.
-x, --exclude=<module>[,<module>...] Specify the modules to exclude from validation.
<module> must be either an AUTOSAR Definition (e.g. /MICROSAR/Rte)
or a shortname (e.g. Rte).
--ext-steps=<step>[,<step>...] Specify the external generation steps to execute.
<step> must be the name of the external generation step specified in
the project settings.
If 'from-project' is specified, all steps defined in the project
settings will be executed.
'from-project' can be combined with other entries (e.g. from-project,
Step1).
If an empty string ('') is provided, no steps will be executed.
If not specified, all available steps will be executed.
-t, --type=<type> Set the type of the generation target (REAL, VTT).
-a, --arg=<module>:<arg>[,<module>:<arg>...] Specify argument(s) for certain generators.
<module> is either the AUTOSAR definition path (e.g. /MICROSAR/Nm)
or the shortname (e.g. Rte).
<arg> could be any custom argument which is defined in the generator.
Multiple arguments must be quoted to be parsed correctly.
E.g.: --arg=Rte:DoSomethingSpecial=true
--arg='/MICROSAR/Nm:Arg1=true Arg2=false'
-r, --report=<folder> Directory to put the reports into.
--keep-temp-files Keep temporary files created during generation.
--clean-generate Run validation and generation without performing up-to-date checks.
--no-save Prevent saving the project to disk.
--fail-on=<threshold> Set the severity threshold at which the command exits with a non-zero
exit code.
NONE: Never fail regardless of validation results.
ERROR: Fail on errors and fatal errors (default).
WARNING: Fail on warnings, errors, and fatal errors.
-h, --help Display the help.
For the meaning of the returned exit codes, see Exit Codes.
